The roots of this combination come from England in the 1800s when oysters were a perfect beer snack. Beer lovers in pubs served their favorite beer and ate oysters, usually the chosen beer was a stout because the semi-sweet and burnt taste of malt complemented the meat and juice of mollusks quite well. Litra Oyster Stout is our version, light in alcohol, full of burnt malt, light caramel and chocolate, complemented by a creamy and fine chocolate aftertaste. It’s perfect with oysters and on its own.
